Declaration of Accessibility

As a state administration body, the Ministry of Justice and Administration of the Republic of Croatia is obliged to ensure the accessibility of its network locations in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies of the Republic of Croatia (Official Gazette 17/19, hereinafter accessibility), which transposes into national law Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

This Statement of Accessibility applies to the online location at sudovi.hr.

Accessibility status

Web location sudovi.hr partially complies with the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies. Most of the requirements have been fulfilled, with some exceptions.

Inaccessible content

Exceptions to compliance, according to the general requirements for ensuring accessibility (observability, operability, comprehensibility), and in connection with Article 8 of the Accessibility Act, are manifested in the following parts of the content:

  • Possibility of observation

The website does not provide optimal use of screen readers for desktop and mobile platforms, for people with visual impairments.

  • Operability

Some drop-down menus have the higher number of options.

When saving content in different formats, it is not possible to choose how to store the content between the device memory and external memory.

There is no possibility to use voice commands on the site to facilitate accessibility for people with motor disabilities, chronic diseases and multiple disabilities.

  • Comprehensibility

In some pages where there is more text, images related to the content are not inserted in order to facilitate the understanding of the text by people who originally use sign language, and the content does not use icons or other graphic content that facilitates its understanding and indicates its purpose.

Alternative ways of presenting information are currently not available.

Increasing the level of accessibility

The Ministry of Justice and Administration of the Republic of Croatia will implement corrective measures to address the inaccessible content of this website to the maximum extent possible after training employees to create, manage and maintain the content of websites and software solutions for mobile devices in accordance with the Accessibility Act. The Ministry will consult the Central State Office for the Development of the Digital Society, the Information Commissioner and organizations of persons with disabilities regarding this matter.

Preparation of this Statement of Accessibility

This Statement was prepared on 1 October 2020, according to the Template of the Statement of Accessibility, which complies with the Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies. It was established by the EU Commission Implementing Decision 2018/1523 of 11 October 2018.

The method of self-assessment and partial accessibility testing was used to prepare this Statement.

Tests were performed on the following operating systems, Internet browsers and mobile devices: MS Win10, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer.

The Ministry of Justice and Administration shall respond to the user’s inquiry, notification or request regarding accessibility within 15 days from receiving the notification or request, or within the same period to inform the user of the subsequent deadline for the response, with a detailed explanation of the reasons for postponing. 

Inspection control

Information Commissioner of the Republic of Croatia is the body responsible for monitoring the compliance of websites and programming solutions for mobile devices of public sector bodies with accessibility requirements, and for supervising the implementation of the Accessibility Act.
